Videos of Wheat Variety Descriptions Posted Online

During the summer of 2020, WSU Field Days went virtual due to the pandemic. Despite having in person field days the past two years, the Variety Testing Program, with assistance from the WSU division of Academic Outreach and Innovation and CAHNRS Communications, has continued to post recordings online for those unable to attend in-person events.

Recordings from the 2022 season have recently been released and are available on the WSU CAHNRS YouTube Channel. Video clips were produced for each wheat class and organized into playlists. Two playlists were created for varieties planted in the low rainfall and high rainfall regions and were recorded at the Lind and Pullman sites, respectively. Recordings include close-up video of commercially available, or soon to be available, wheat varieties and brief descriptions of yield, test weight, and grain protein performance along with numerous disease and agronomic ratings.

For detailed trial results from 2022 and prior years, along with the link to the videos, viewers should visit the Variety Testing home page.
