Farmer Forum about Using Seed Impact Mills for Weed Control

December 4, 2023 @ 10:00 am 11:00 am

Interest in Harvest Weed Seed Control, particularly the use of impact mills like the Seed Terminator and Redekop Seed Control Unit, is growing. The Pacific Northwest is home to more commercial impact mill systems than anywhere else in the US. Profiles, including short videos, of four Washington wheat growers using impact mills were recently added as Featured Articles to the WSU Wheat and Small Grains website. If you have not seen them, consider taking a look soon. Two of these Washington wheat growers, Dale and Nick Druffel from Uniontown, will participate in a Farmer Forum on using impact mills for weed control. The Farmer Forum is hosted remotely on Zoom by GROW (Getting Rid of Weeds). While the Farmer Forum will be moderated by Dr. Michael Flessner, Extension Weed Scientist at Virginia Tech, the forum is designed to let farmers talk to farmers.

The Farmer Forum is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. PST on Monday, December 4. Register for free to get the Forum link and log in information.
