Organic Grain and Hay Sale Bulletin Board

Posted by Blythe Howell | May 10, 2018

The WSU Small Grains Team offers the Organic Grain and Hay Sales bulletin board and listserv as a service to the organic community. The intent is to connect buyers and sellers of these organic products to sell or source grain.

Anyone wishing to buy or sell organic grain should send an email to Diana. Please include the crop species (and variety/class, if applicable), volume or weight, the storage container (bulk or tote bag), and any other important details. Also, include your contact information and location. Do not include price as that is negotiated between the buyer and seller.

We will send out the posting via our email listserv, which includes over 200 organic growers. They are located predominantly in western Washington, but there are some in Oregon, Idaho, Montana, and eastern Washington. The list also includes grain buyers.

We will also post the notice on this bulletin board. This feature is searchable – by crop or grower, for example. The notices will remain on the board until the advertiser requests removal.

Disclaimer: Washington State University offers information on organic grain and hay sales, via this electronic bulletin board, as a community development service. WSU assumes no responsibility for either party in negotiating sales or contracts. It is the responsibility of the buyer and seller to determine the price, quality, amount, delivery, and certified organic status of any crop bought or sold.
