“The Profession That Found WSU’s Tim Murray” Podcast

Episode 147 of Wheat All About It! one of WSU’s Plant Pathologists Tim Murray.

Join Scott Yates, director of Communications and producer relations for the Washington Grain Commission in, “The Profession That Found WSU’s Tim Murray“. In this episode, Scott and Tim discuss how Tim even got into the plant pathology world, since it’s not a profession most children dream of entering into. Murray cautions farmers that new diseases and pathogens are emerging as the climate changes as there is much more to learn. Among recent discoveries is a fungus-like organism, called a protist, that transmits the wheat mosaic virus—which has been found in Eastern Washington.
